Values and Philosophy

Finding a Healthier Way

SENERGY360 founder Brian Johnson began his career as a certified lumber grader, where he witnessed firsthand how quickly lumber could develop mold during transportation and storage.

That observation sparked a lifelong pursuit of healthier home construction. Since 2003, Brian has been a trailblazer in mass wall construction and is the only General Contractor in the country to hold a triple certification from the Building Biology Institute.

Today, SENERGY360 brings together an extraordinary team of specialists, each committed to building homes that mimic the natural environment indoors while safeguarding residents from adverse outdoor elements.

Brian Johnson

Founder & Lead General Contractor

Brian Johnson

Brian Johnson began his career in the lumber industry as a certified lumber grader, where he gained deep expertise in how lumber is used in construction, and how susceptible it is to mold growth during transportation and storage. That firsthand experience sparked his lifelong interest in healthier home construction and catalyzed the founding of SENERGY360.

Today, Brian is the only General Contractor in the country to hold a triple certification from the Building Biology Institute, a testament to his dedication to creating healthy, sustainable living environments. Since 2003, he has been a trailblazer in the construction field, specializing in mass wall construction techniques.

His passion for building performance stems from a lifelong commitment to health, athletic performance, and wellness. As an elite top 1% All-World Athlete, Brian understands what it takes to optimize physical and environmental factors for peak performance. Acutely aware of the impact living spaces have on health, he prioritizes modern building technology that mimics a natural environment indoors while safeguarding residents from adverse outdoor elements, whether natural or manmade.

Kristin Kilmer

Interior Designer & Wellness Consultant

Kristin Kilmer

Intuitive interior design and wellness, where conscious luxury meets the healing home.

The first interior designer ever featured at the TED Conference wasn’t a celebrity stager or a minimalist influencer. It was Kristin Kilmer, who designed the only LEED Platinum-certified prefab home TED had ever showcased: a modular, sustainable residence that was later flat-packed, resold, and redesigned for a second client. No other designer has replicated that project.

Before wellness design had a name, Kristin was restoring some of Los Angeles’s most architecturally significant homes, works by R.M. Schindler, John Lautner, and Ray Kappe. She completed six landmark mid-century restorations for a single prominent LA client who purchases and Mills Act-registers historical monuments. Tim Street Porter, the dean of LA architecture photography, wrote in his book L.A. Modern: “I’ve never seen a designer interpret so well the architecture of these homes.”

Then Lyme disease and mold toxicity changed everything. Kristin’s own health crisis gave her firsthand understanding of how buildings affect the body, not as theory, but as lived experience. She fused her two-decade design practice with training in energy medicine, medical intuition, and clairvoyance, creating what she calls the “Trinity” framework: Home + Health + Soul. Her five-element spatial design draws from Eastern and Western traditions to create rooms with intentional energetic balance.

Trained at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Spain and the daughter of a Hungarian immigrant contractor, Kristin has been featured in Dwell, the New York Times Style Magazine, Vanity Fair, California Home+Design, and VoyageLA. She works from Los Angeles across Southern California, from Brentwood and Venice to Newport Beach and Coronado, with virtual wellness consultations available nationally. Maxwell J Mercer

After 32 years in Canada, Maxwell relocated to Arizona in 2018 and has since spent eight years working across the United States, including Hawaii. His portfolio includes custom residential homes, residential sub-division master planning and design, commercial, industrial, medical, golf clubhouse, restaurant, and religious and institutional facility projects.

Jesse Wolfe

P.E., Project Engineer

Jesse Wolfe

Jesse is a principal engineer at Grummel Engineering and a true believer in building things that last, sustainably. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in structural design, he’s passionate about finding solutions that are both elegant and actually buildable. He’s worked on everything from ICCF systems to solar installations to cutting-edge alternative materials, always asking: “How do we make this work in the real world?”

You could say Jesse practices what he preaches. He and his family own a small organic farm in the Oregon Coast Range, where he built their homestead from scratch, literally using trees milled right on the property. That kind of hands-on, from-the-ground-up thinking is what defines his approach to every project.

When he’s not engineering solutions, you’ll find Jesse building and riding mountain bike trails in his community. Licensed PE, backyard builder, and lifelong problem-solver, Jesse brings that same blend of precision and real-world stewardship to every engagement.
